Numerical Analysis of Mechanical Behavior of Self-Centering Joint between CFDST Column and RC Beam

The existing connection between the concrete-filled double steel tubular (CFDST) column and reinforced concrete (RC) beam is difficult to repair reuse after damage. In this paper, a self-centering joint CFDST RC proposed. of realized by prestressed strands, energy dissipation friction. overall purpose research analyze influence strand friction on mechanical behavior joint. By comparing envelope curve restoring force model numerical with theoretical values, accuracy was verified. Then, joints different parameters, including friction, prestress ratio resisting moment provided strands in opening joints, were numerically analyzed. results showed that greater had higher bearing capacity. Increasing could increase capacity joint, but it would residual deformation To reduce deformation, should be increased. When resultant pretension than head kept pressed connecting block, making stress changes performance stable.
